Dear Guam,
Before we begin this letter, we want you to know that the reason why we are sharing this with you is because we feel that we have to be completely honest about something. Originally, we wanted to tell you, but we just did not feel comfortable and we did not trust you enough. But, we can not keep this from you any longer.
The past six years of our lives have been filled with many positive and negative trials. Although we have had positive things take place here, the disillusion often outweighed the beauty. After our initial realization that you were not all that you presented yourself as we began to see the glass as half empty. However, as the years passed we began to have the glass half full of imported beer and wine while enjoying the finer sides of life with you. We thank you for allowing us to enjoy your jungles and beaches, your boonie dogs and the fine karaoke establishments. We hope that you understand that we appreciate what you have shared with us. However, we feel that no one wants to admit that hidden within every crevice of you there is a pile of trash, your beaches are coated with plastic, toxic waste seeps in the soil and your buses are blowing smoke up your *ss. Although you may never accept us as family, you will always be a part of ours.
Take care until we meet again.
